As many of you know, Heidi has been struggling with Postpartum Cardio Myopathy. So we went to the doctors last week to get the results of Heidi's echocardiogram. They told us that her Ejection Fraction (the amount of blood ejected with each beat of her heart) is at 57%, which according to the doctor is just on the low side of normal. According to Wikipedia "Healthy individuals typically have ejection fractions between 50% and 65%" which would put her right smack in the middle of normal! Either way, this means that she is doing much better. We still have a long way to go, and she will likely be on medication for a long time to come, but things are looking up.

James and Heidi - we love you and hope that things continue to improve! Hang in there and enjoy little Samuel - take lots of pictures because new parents are also tired parents who become parents who forget what their little ones were like when they were little. Love you - Aunt Becky
